We all know how it feels when our colleagues talk about us but not to us. It’s frustrating, and it creates tension. When candor is missing in the workplace, employees feel like they’re working in the dark. Leaders don’t know what employees really think; managers are frustrated when outcomes are not what they expect; and employees often don’t know where they stand performance-wise.

Many of us remain passive against broken, indirect communication habits, hoping that things will miraculously improve—but they won’t. Not without skills and effort.

The people you work with can work with you, around you, or against you. How people work with you depends on the relationships you cultivate. Do your colleagues trust you? Can they speak openly with you when projects and tasks go awry?

Take charge of your career by taking charge of your business communication. Make your work environment less tense and more productive by practicing direct communication. Set relationship expectations, work with people how they like to be worked with, and give and receive regular feedback. Learn how to improve your communication skills from Shari Harley, one of the industry’s leading authorities, as she shares her expertise in one of the most relevant, instructive business and leadership books available.

How can you hope to benefit from reading leadership books or communication books? Improving business communication skills can positively influence your relationships, but more so help you attain the level of career success you’ve always strived for. With Harley’s clear, specific road map in hand, you will be able to create the career and business relationships you really want—and keep them.

Very seldom does a business communication book come around that genuinely influences your business relationships and career. Take advantage of the keen insights and observations offered from one of the leading voices in workplace communication. How To Say Anything To Anyone is a communication book, management book, and business book rolled into one easy-to-use formula that will help you manage your career and business relationships.

  1. Mind Watering: Growing in the Ability to Say Anything to Anybody 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Apr 2022

A decade ago I read possibly the first Denver Post's article about Shari and Candid Culture. I signed up for her newsletter straight away. The ever-following devotion to Shari's wisdom has never waned. From the beginning her wisdom struck just the right note for my journey, learning how to improve all business - and social and family - communications, for my own and everyone else's sake. Even though "great communicator" was an early, self-recognized trait, I did not really know "How to Say Anything to Anyone". Shari's newsletter, blog, and book have been watering my mind weekly throughout the last decade of meeting and working with people all around the world. I've recommended "How to Say Anything to Anyone", shared Blog links, and cards countless times. If you've ever an opportunity to hear Shari speak, or have her speak at a training event, you'll be very happy that you did.
